{"id":9572,"date":"2018-12-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-25T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/edec.ge\/final-event-of-the-project-was-held-at-the-kutaisi-city-hall\/"},"modified":"2020-01-04T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-01-03T20:00:00","slug":"final-event-of-the-project-was-held-at-the-kutaisi-city-hall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/edec.ge\/en\/final-event-of-the-project-was-held-at-the-kutaisi-city-hall\/","title":{"rendered":"Final Event of the project was held at the Kutaisi City Hall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The final event of the project \u201cIndividual Needs Based Vocational Education and Employment Support for People with Disabilities\u201d was held by the Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC)at the Kutaisi City Hall, which also supported the entire project<\/p>\n<p>The Chairperson of the Board of EDEC, Lika Kiladze, and the Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi Municipality, Nino Tvaltvadze, greeted the participants, and emphasized the goals of the project and its priorities to support individual needs based vocational education and employment of people with disabilities (PwD).<\/p>\n<p>The results of the 8-month project are:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Labor and vocational skills of 37 PwDs were assessed by a qualified specialist<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 30 PwDs completed professional orientation training-courses<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 10 PwDs completed confectionery, nail technician and hospitality management courses<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 7 PwDs were send to vocational schools and enrolled in the appropriate teaching programs<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 6 PwDs participated in the paid internship program implemented by the Social Service Agency.
