Here, respective needs, problems, and<br \/>\nchallenges were discussed.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Lika Kiladze, Chairperson of the Board of the<br \/>\nEducation Development and Employment Center (EDEC) presented the ongoing project<br \/>\nand the discussion topics. The mayor of Borjomi Municipality, Levan Lapartia,<br \/>\ngreeted all participants.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Afterward, Mariam Gelashvili, representative<br \/>\nof the local PwD community talked about the daily challenges they face. Giga<br \/>\nSopromadze, Executive Secretary of the Council working on People with Disabilities<br \/>\nin Tbilisi City Hall, talked about their support services.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Also, family members of people with<br \/>\ndisabilities joined the event and talked about the hardships they face every<br \/>\nday. Deputy Mayor of Borjomi Municipality Buba Beridze presented opportunities<br \/>\nfor solving those challenges and their future plan in this regard.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6px 0px;\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The discussion was held within the framework of the EU-funded project \u201cEqual Opportunities for People with<br \/>\nDisabilities.\u201d It is implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB<br \/>\nGeorgia) in cooperation with its partner organizations, the Education<br \/>\nDevelopment and Employment Center (EDEC) and Accessible Environment for<br \/>\nEveryone.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 28th, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) held a round table meeting in Borjomi about supporting services for people with disabilities.
