The Education Development and Employment
\nCenter hosted the annual event of the program “Future Generation”.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Lika Kiladze, Chairperson of the Board of the
\nEducation Development and Employment Center (EDEC), and Tamar Pruidze, representative
\nof “Future Generation,” gave opening speeches.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Afterward, Natia Namicheishvili, Executive The Director of the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), summarized
\nthe results of the first part of 2019. Tsismari Tepnadze, representative of the
\nCivic Education Teachers’ Forum in Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, talked
\nabout the Forum\u2019s activities.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the event, a panel discussion on
\nthe importance of civic education and the usage of program outcomes was
\norganized; this also included the actual application of developed manuals and
\nclub cards. Natia Namicheishvili moderated the session.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants also discussed the protection
\nof children’s rights and, as a culmination, the Civic Club “Freedom”
\nfrom Kutaisi Public School \u211611 presented their forum-theater
\n“Participation.”<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

The program “Future Generation”
\naims to improve the curriculum of civic education in schools. It also
\nencourages pupils to apply their theoretical education. It is supported by the
\nMinistry of Education and Science of Georgia and financed by the United States
\nAgency for International Development (USAID). In the Imereti region, the initiative
\nis implemented by PH International in partnership with the Education
