On June 19th, the Education Development and
\nEmployment Center (EDEC) held a round table meeting in Akhaltsikhe about supporting
\nservices for people with disabilities. Here, respective needs, problems, and
\nchallenges were discussed.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Lika Kiladze, Chairperson of the Board of the
\nEducation Development and Employment Center (EDEC), gave a speech about the ongoing
\nproject and the topics to discuss. Guram Melikidze, First Deputy Mayor of
\nAkhaltsikhe Municipality greeted all participants.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Then, Giga Sopromadze, Executive Secretary
\nof the Council working on People with Disabilities in Tbilisi City Hall, talking
\nabout their support services. Giorgi Akhmeteli, Executive Director of the movement
\nAccessible Environment for Everyone presented the results of Europe
\nFoundation\u2019s survey “Use of Public Finances for people with disabilities \u2013
\nInclusion and Participation.”<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

The discussion was held within the framework of the EU-funded project \u201cEqual Opportunities for People with
\nDisabilities.\u201d It is implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB
\nGeorgia) in cooperation with its partner organizations, the Education
\nDevelopment and Employment Center (EDEC) and Accessible Environment for
