On October 20, within the EU Delegation’s visit to Adjara, Lawrence Meredith, the Director for Neighbourhood East and Institution Building at the European Commission and EU Ambassador Carl Hartzell met young people with hearing loss employed by Adjara Group at the restaurant Shukura, Tsikhisdziri thanks to a job fair organized within the EU-funded “LEARN for Employment!” project which is implemented through Skills4Jobs program.<\/p>\n

Lika Kiladze, the Chairperson of the Board discussed the project goals and implemented\u00a0activities within it with the EU Delegation. She highlighted\u00a0productive cooperation with the Employment Agency of Adjara and\u00a0 “Adjara Group” and talked about future perspectives.<\/p>\n

The EU-funded project \u201cLearn, Exercise, Achieve, Receive, Network for Employment! (LEARN for Employment!)\u201c is implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), the Telavi Education Development and Employment Center (TEDEC), the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Region of Adjara (EAARA), Abkhazintercont (AIC) and the Institute for Change and Innovation (ICI).<\/p>\n

The project implemented in six regions of Georgia \u2013 Imereti, Guria, Racha-Lechkhumi, Adjara, Shida Kartli, and Kakheti \u2013 aims to promote an efficient transition model from education to the labor market largely supporting increased employment, social integration, and decreased poverty and vulnerability levels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
