Active citizenship involves participating in public affairs and making desired changes, which can be achieved in various ways, including volunteering. This skill should be developed from an early age. If the school community becomes more aware of this, they will be able to inform the wider public about volunteering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">As a civics teacher, I organized volunteer activities at school with my civics club. For instance, we regularly conducted cleaning campaigns, organized several championships during the summer, and held a &#8220;Kindness Marathon&#8221; to help a student with health problems. I created a volunteer club called &#8220;ACTIVE CLUB,&#8221; based at the school, which would organize volunteer activities. Initially, we formed subject areas and created the &#8220;Book Club,&#8221; &#8220;Logic&#8221; Math Club, and &#8220;ENGLISH CLUB,&#8221; which united students and young people interested in the mentioned subjects. The club is led by volunteer students and mentored by volunteer subject teachers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Winning the grant competition further motivated us. A vlog competition was announced for all three volunteer clubs, which involved shooting a vlog depicting each lesson and meeting and posting it on social networks.
