{"id":9573,"date":"2018-12-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-26T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/edec.ge\/meeting-to-support-childrens-with-special-needs-effective-transition-to-schools\/"},"modified":"2020-01-04T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-01-03T20:00:00","slug":"meeting-to-support-childrens-with-special-needs-effective-transition-to-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edec.ge\/en\/meeting-to-support-childrens-with-special-needs-effective-transition-to-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting to support children\u2019s with special needs  effective transition to schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On December 27, organized by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), a meeting was held in Tbilisi to give an overview on the manual designed to support children with special needs for their effective transition to schools.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by pre-school institutions, representatives from alternative service organizations, special need teachers and psychologists.<\/p>\n<p>The representative and expert of \u201cInnovations for Inclusive Society\u201d, Mariam Khvadagiani, gave a presentation on the working version of the manual. Furthermore, the head of the Inclusive Department at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Eka Dgebuadze, talked about the importance of introducing the manual to the educational institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The supportive manual has been created as result of the partnership of EDEC and the NGO \u201cInnovations for Inclusive Society\u201d. The printed and electronic versions of the manual will be provided to alternative service organizations, and 2.331 schools and kindergarten associations operating throughout the country.
