The Education Development and Employment
\nCenter (EDEC) conducted a Women Empowerment Training. Goal of the training was
\nto encourage women groups to initiate services regarding people with disabilities.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

On the first day of the training, expert Neli
\nAkobia talked about social policies based on needs and rights. Best practices
\nof social services in the field of disability were also discussed. Moreover, expert
\nMarina Mchedlishvili talked about the modern approach in disability
\nclassification.<\/p>\n

Women participating in the training were
\nselected based on interviews in the different regions of Georgia.<\/p>\n

The trainings
\nare organized within the framework of the EU-funded project \u201cEqual
\nOpportunities for People with Disabilities.\u201d It is implemented by
\nArbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB Georgia) in cooperation with its partner
\norganizations, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and Accessible
