The focus of the competition was the rights of people with disabilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It aimed to improve the standard of coverage of issues related to persons with disabilities, to promote their individual abilities, and to reduce the related stigma,&nbsp; discrimination and stereotypes within society.<\/p>\n<p><gwmw class=\"ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-3\" id=\"gwmw-15740994441042684931613\">Therefore journalists<\/gwmw> were able to present their work samples in four categories:&nbsp; TV program.&nbsp; <gwmw class=\"ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-1\" id=\"gwmw-15740994461310558286863\">radio<\/gwmw> program,&nbsp; article in a print medium, and online media production.<\/p>\n<p>37 journalists presented 77 works during the 9-month period of the competition. The materials were reviewed by a jury consisting out of&nbsp; five media experts. Unfortunately, the jury couldn&#8217;t identify&nbsp; a winner in the radio broadcasting category. Therefore, two winners were announced in the TV program category instead.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The four winners&nbsp; <gwmw class=\"ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-2\" id=\"gwmw-15740994441182042990298\">announced were<\/gwmw>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TV Program:<span style=\"white-space: pre;\">\t<\/span>Giorgi Gvishiani (Rustavi 2) and Ana Mezvrishvili (GPB)<\/li>\n<li>Online Media Production:<span style=\"white-space: pre;\">\t<\/span>Teona Bekishvili (online newspaper&nbsp; <gwmw class=\"ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-1\" id=\"gwmw-15740994441253298503594\">mastsavlebeli<\/gwmw><gwmw class=\"ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-3\" id=\"gwmw-15740994441253569052745\">.<\/gwmw><gwmw class=\"ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-1\" id=\"gwmw-15740994441259423981897\">ge<\/gwmw>)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Article in a print medium: Iveta Tsitaishvili (Liberali)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The fair was organized within the framework of the project &#8220;Educate, Employ, Advocate and Legislate for Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities&#8221; (EEAL) implemented by Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center (KEDEC<gwmw class=\"ginger-module-highlighter-mistake-type-3\" id=\"gwmw-15740994441325719825849\">)<\/gwmw>* along with the Telavi Education Development and Employment Center and the Georgian Committee of the International Campaign to ban landmines &#8220;Ottawa -98&#8221; with financial assistance of the European Union.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The winners of the media competition were announced in Tbilisi.
