It will be implemented with the help of the<br \/>\n10 regional hubs, partnering businesses, local government bodies, volunteer<br \/>\ngroups, and local and international civil society organizations.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"DE\">Informing and updating the population during<br \/>\nthe pandemic is of critical importance for their readiness to respond<br \/>\nappropriately, make well-considered decisions, and take adequate measures to<br \/>\nprotect their health and safety. According to the World Health Organization<br \/>\n(WHO), physical distancing and personal hygiene are the most important means to<br \/>\nbe applied by citizens to stop the further spread of the Coronavirus and to<br \/>\nflatten the curve.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"DE\">Despite the ongoing massive informational<br \/>\ncampaigns through traditional and social media, as well as social networks,<br \/>\ncrucial information is still not available to all parts of the population &#8211;<br \/>\nespecially some of the risk groups. This includes amongst other residents of<br \/>\ncross-border regions and remote villages, IDPs living in compact settlements,<br \/>\nthe elderly, and ethnic minorities. Hence, also the risk of quickly spreading<br \/>\nmisinformation within these groups is high and likely.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"DE\">Therefore, the developed campaign aims to<br \/>\ninform the population of 647 identified high-risk locations (cities, villages,<br \/>\nregional centers, and settlements) throughout all ten regions of Georgia. It<br \/>\ncovers detailed descriptions of the preventive measures against the spread of<br \/>\nthe virus as well as contact details of relevant institutions such as the Emergency<br \/>\nResponse Centre 112, the Public Safety Management Centre, the Ministry of<br \/>\nHealth, the National Centre for Disease Control, and the government\u2019s<br \/>\nencompassing the 1st-level hotline.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"DE\">To achieve, what media campaigns could not<br \/>\nachieve yet, the above-described basic information was placed on products of<br \/>\ndaily consumption including bread. In cooperation with the local business<br \/>\npartners \u2018Elva\u2019, LTD \u2018Madliani 1\u2019, LTD \u2018Leko\u2019, LTD \u2018Vasadze Bread\u2019, LTD<br \/>\n\u2018Khelvachauri Bread Products\u2019, LTD \u2018Nagdi Puri\u2019 and LTD \u2018Tsinba\u2019 \u2013 highly<br \/>\ntrustable and socially responsible companies in Imereti, Adjara, Samegrelo, and<br \/>\nGuria \u2013 a total of 173.760 loaves of bread were equipped with special stickers<br \/>\nand distributed within the target population.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"DE\">Additionally, 22.500 bags for groceries with imprinted<br \/>\ninformation be delivered to grocery stores for free-of-charge usage in the<br \/>\nvillages. Such bags will also be provided to the local and central government<br \/>\nagencies as they deliver products to vulnerable groups across all municipalities.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"DE\">The project \u201cGeorgian Civil Society<br \/>\nSustainability Initiative\u201d, is implemented by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung<br \/>\n(KAS) in cooperation with the Civil Society Institute (CSI), the Consultation<br \/>\nand Training Center (CTC), the Center for Strategic Research and Development of<br \/>\nGeorgia (CSRDG) and the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC).
