On the 1st of August, the Education Development
\nand Employment Center (EDEC) held a roundtable meeting in Sachkhere about supporting
\nservices for people with disabilities. Here, the respective needs, problems, and
\nchallenges were discussed.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Natia Namicheishvili, Executive Director of
\nthe Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), introduced the project
\nand discussion topics. Beniamen Palavandishvili, Mayor of Sachkhere Municipality,
\nand Teona Julukhadze, representative of ASB Georgia, greeted the participants and
\njoined the discussion. Giga Sopromadze, Executive Secretary of the Council
\nworking on People with Disabilities in Tbilisi City Hall, talked about their
\nsupport services. <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Members of the local government and the city council of Sachkhere municipality, as well as representatives of various
\ncivil society organizations attended the round table.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

The discussion was held within the framework
\nof the EU-funded project \u201cEqual Opportunities for People with Disabilities.\u201d It
\nis implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB Georgia) in cooperation
\nwith its partner organizations, the Education Development and Employment Center
