On the 24th of December, the Education
\nDevelopment and Employment Center (EDEC) organized a round table in Rustavi
\nabout supporting services for people with disabilities. Here, the respective needs,
\nproblems, and challenges were discussed.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Natia Namicheishvili, Executive Director of
\nthe Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), gave a speech about the
\nproject and the discussion topics. Irakli Tabagua, Mayor of the Rustavi Municipality,
\ngreeted all participants.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Later on, Guna Bibileishvili, Executive Director
\nand founder of the first Georgian parents\u2019 organization \u201cChild, Family, Society,\u201d
\nheld a presentation on the UN\u2019s sustainable development goals for people with
\ndisabilities, the EU-Georgia Association Agreement, current challenges and
\nfuture perspectives; Gia Jvarsheishvili, representative of \u201cInclusive Society
\nGeorgia,\u201d talked about support possibilities to allow blind people an independent
\nlife.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

The discussion was held within the framework of the EU-funded project \u201cEqual Opportunities for People with
\nDisabilities.\u201d It is implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB
\nGeorgia) in cooperation with the Education Development and Employment Center
