{"id":9806,"date":"2020-02-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-05T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/edec.ge\/program-future-generation-imeretis-2019-review-held-in-february\/"},"modified":"2020-07-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-07-29T20:00:00","slug":"program-future-generation-imeretis-2019-review-held-in-february","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edec.ge\/en\/program-future-generation-imeretis-2019-review-held-in-february\/","title":{"rendered":"Program \u201cFuture Generation\u201d \u2013 Imereti\u2019s 2019-review held in February"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">On the 6<sup>th <\/sup>of February, the Education<br \/>\nDevelopment and Employment Center (EDEC) organized a 2019-review for the program \u201cFuture Generation\u201d in the Imereti region.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The event was opened by Natia<br \/>\nNamicheishvili, EDEC\u2019s Executive Director, and Tamar Pruidze, official program representative.<br \/>\nIn the following, Miss Namicheishvli and Maka Kachkachishvili, deputy of the Forum<br \/>\nof Civil Education Teachers in Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, summarized<br \/>\nand presented the 2019-activities as well as their results.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Moreover, a panel discussion on \u201cCooperation<br \/>\nas the best opportunity of the civil education practical study\u201d was held; Ilia<br \/>\nKipshidze, leader of the civil club at Qvatsikhe Public School in the Chiatura<br \/>\nmunicipality led the panel. Additionally, a debate on early marriage took<br \/>\nplace and the civil club \u201cArt Skhivi\u201d (Kutaisi Public School #36) performed a<br \/>\nplay bullying.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The program &#8220;Future Generation&#8221;<br \/>\naims to improve the curriculum of civic education in schools. It also<br \/>\nencourages pupils to apply their theoretical education in real-life situations.<br \/>\nIt is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and<br \/>\nfinanced by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
