{"id":9809,"date":"2020-02-14T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-13T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/edec.ge\/needs-based-supportive-services-for-people-with-disabilities-the-round-table-tour-moved-on-to-zugdidi\/"},"modified":"2020-07-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-07-29T20:00:00","slug":"needs-based-supportive-services-for-people-with-disabilities-the-round-table-tour-moved-on-to-zugdidi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edec.ge\/en\/needs-based-supportive-services-for-people-with-disabilities-the-round-table-tour-moved-on-to-zugdidi\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Needs-based supportive services for People with Disabilities\u201d \u2013 the round table tour moved on to Zugdidi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">On February 14th, the round table meeting &#8220;Needs-based<br \/>\nsupportive services for People with Disabilities\u201d was organized by the<br \/>\nEducation Development and Employment Center (EDEC) in Zugdidi.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Lika Kiladze, Chair of the Board of the Education<br \/>\nDevelopment and Employment Center (EDEC), and the mayor of the Zugdidi the municipality gave speeches on the project and the relevant discussion topics.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">In the following, <o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Nino Skhulukhia, Head of the Social and Health<br \/>\nDepartment of Zugdidi City Hall presented supporting programs for people with<br \/>\ndisabilities budgeted by the Zugdidi City Hall for 2020;<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Madona Kharebava, Executive Director of the<br \/>\nassociation \u201cDea,\u201d talked about \u201cSupport for Employment of People with Disabilities;\u201d<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Eka Chavchavadze, Head of the Speech<br \/>\nDevelopment and Correction Center explained the importance of early<br \/>\nintervention in speech therapy.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Konstantine Kakava, Deputy Mayor of the Zugdidi The municipality, Mamuka Tsotseria, Chairman of the City Council, Besik Chezhia, Deputy<br \/>\nChairman of the City Council, and other members of the City Hall\u2019s board responsible<br \/>\nfor people with disabilities, as well as NGO representatives, attended the<br \/>\nmeeting.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6px 0px;\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The discussion was held within the framework of the EU-funded project \u201cEqual Opportunities for People with<br \/>\nDisabilities.\u201d It is implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB<br \/>\nGeorgia) in cooperation with the Education Development and Employment Center<br \/>\n(EDEC) and the movement Accessible Environment for Everyone (AEE).<\/span><span style=\"font-size:11.5pt;font-family:&quot;BPG LE Studio 04&quot;,serif;letter-spacing:\n.25pt;mso-ansi-language:EN-US\"><o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On February 14th, the round table meeting &#8220;Needs-based supportive services for People with Disabilities\u201d was organized by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) in Zugdidi.
