Especially<br \/>\nthe vocational course and not only the internship gave me the opportunity to<br \/>\ngain knowledge and experience\u201d says the young man.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">In addition to Nikoloz\u2019 employer, the internship<br \/>\nprogram is supported by the hotels \u201cViktoria\u201d, the restaurant \u201cChineburi\u201d and the<br \/>\ncaf\u00e9 \u201cZhoze\u201d.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The manager of Chineburi, Zurab lazarashvili,<br \/>\nsays, that the project is a good opportunity for employers: \u201cIt is not easy to<br \/>\nfind good staff. I am planning to open other facilities soon and now, I luckily<br \/>\nwill not have to look for new employees. Three participants are undergoing the<br \/>\ninternship in our restaurant and they have a great chance to become employed<br \/>\nhere. Anyway, they and I have the same desire.\u201d<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">In total, twelve graduates of the training<br \/>\ncourse are currently involved in the internship process. After completion, they<br \/>\nincreased their employability and opportunities significantly.<o_p><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The cooks\u2019 program is implemented as part<br \/>\nof the EU-funded project \u201cEU4Youth \u2013 Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and<br \/>\nParticipation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine.&#8221; The<br \/>\ninitiative aims to widen education, employment, and entrepreneurial<br \/>\nopportunities for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth and<br \/>\nencourages their significant participation in the community. In Georgia, it is<br \/>\nimplemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and the Education Development<br \/>\nand Employment Center (EDEC).<\/span><o_p><\/o_p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6px 0px;\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 4.5pt 0in; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><o_p style=\"\">&nbsp;<\/o_p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Participants of the training course for cooks in Gori are undergoing paid internships at local hotels, restaurants and caf\u00e9s.
