Tamar Ivanidze, chairperson of the organization \u201cInitiative
\nfor Social Changes,\u201d talked to the specialists of EDEC\u2019s Daycare Centers for
\nChildren and Persons with Disabilities about the situation of social work in
\nGeorgia, the role of the social worker, and interventions necessary to strive
\nfor the better.<\/o_p><\/p>\n

According to her, important elements of successful social
\nwork are to act in line with human rights, social justice and principles of equality,
\nto develop sectoral competences and systematization, to support proportionality
\nand individualization of services, and to always ensure the protection of good
\nfaith and professional ethics. In addition to theoretical basics, she also shared
\nher personal experiences with the participants and went through some simple
\npractical exercises. <\/o_p><\/p>\n

Thanks to the mix of theory, practical application and personal
\ninsights, the meeting was appealing and interactive for all participants.<\/p>\n
