Objective: Re-opening of four Day Care Centers (DCCs) for people with disabilities in regional areas of Georgia in September 2020 and the safe continuation of all pre-pandemic services.

Target group(s): DCCs, staff and beneficiaries of the DCCs, potential donors and supporters

Beneficiaries: 73 beneficiaries of the Day Care Centers

Planned activities:
1. Regular physical day care center operation with increased hygienе standards;
2. Regular disinfection of surfaces;
3. Regular hand disinfection for beneficiaries and staff;
4. Usage of special cleaning agents for inside and outside;
5. Usage of safety equipment like gloves and masks for staff and visitors;
6. Hiring of additional cleaning staff;
7. Monitoring of temperature and well-being of beneficiaries, staff and visitors.

Expected results:
1. Safe re-opening and running of EDEC’s four day care centers from September 2020 for the entire project duration of 12 months;
2. Provision of the pre-pandemic services;
3. Return of at least 95% of our beneficiaries within the first three project months or replacement of beneficiaries with new beneficiaries to keep the total number;
4. Increased awareness of and support by local/regional/national officials, companies, charities and the church of day care services for people with disabilities.
