27 years old Gvantsa Todua, works as a physical therapist at a rehabilitation center in Zugdidi and at the same time plans to develop a small family business in the field of honey production.

Gvantsa attended an online training on small and micro business management organized by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) within the project supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) “Expanding agency and voice and improving the socio-economic outlook for conflict-affected women during the COVID-19 crisis”.

“The training was especially interesting for me as a start-up entrepreneur. Although I have the necessary resources to produce honey, I did not have the information on how to register my business, what it took to start a small business or how to promote and sell my product. Training modules included the practical information which answered these questions,” – says Gvantsa.

The training, which aimed to develop entrepreneurial skills among young women affected by the conflict, was conducted in the Samegrelo and Shida Kartli regions. 44 young women took part in it.
