A training of trainers about the German model of dual education was held in Adjara

A training of trainers about the German model of dual education was held in Adjara on December 8-10 within the project “Master of my House – Capacity 2 Confidence Building (Hausmeister 4)”.

The training aimed to raise the qualification of the representatives of vocational colleges in Adjara in regards to the validation and implementation of dual education programs.

Led by Jürgen Hogeforster and Christian Wildt, the representatives of the Hanse-Parliament (Network for Small and Medium Enterprises), the trainings were attended by the representatives of Adjara Vocational Colleges “New Wave” and “The Black Sea”, Adjara Employment Agency, Local Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship and private sector. The 3-day training was conducted in a hybrid (online-offline) form.

The following topics were covered during the trainings: the dual vocational education and training system, overview curriculum using the example of a profession, cooperation in dual vocational education and training,  needs of the labour market & counseling dual VET, intermediate and final examinations, attracting SMEs to the dual vocational training system and implementation of the training & cooperation with companies, pedagogy and social dialogue in vocational training.

Discussion and Q&A session was held after the presentation of each topic.

Hanse-Parliament plans to further support the development of dual vocational education in partner colleges.

The project “Master of my House – Capacity 2 Confidence Building (Hausmeister 4)” is implemented by “Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe” (IWO e.V), Hanse Parlament e.V. (Hamburg), Charity Humanitarian Center “Abkhazeti” (CHCA), and the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

The project aims to introduce new services in the field of building management and to establish the so-called “Hausmeister” profession in Georgia.
