On December 23, the Education Development and Education Center (EDEC), with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) held a presentation within the framework of the “Unity Through Diversity” program. The event was attended by the representatives of non-governmental organizations, media, local self-government, resource center, higher and vocational schools, public schools, young people, students, members of the youth center, and other interested persons.
Lika Kiladze, the chairperson of the board of the Education Development and Employment Center, presented a speech to the audience. Natia Namicheishvili, Executive Director of the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), introduced the program’s goals, objectives, and future plans to the guests. At the event, members of the youth center shared their success stories with the audience.
The 5-year program “Unity Through Diversity” serves citizens’ civic integration and economic empowerment. It aims to increase the involvement of minorities in all matters of public policy, promote their economic integration through sectoral cooperation, and strengthen social, civil, and economic ties between the minority and the majority. The program will significantly contribute to strengthening Georgia’s civic identity and expressing citizens’ unity through diversity.
USAID Unity Through Diversity Program is implemented by UNA Georgia with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The partner organization of the program is the Education Development and Employment Center.
