Job Fair for People with Disabilities held at Tbilisi Mall

In cooperation with the Social
Service Agency, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC)
organized a job fair at Tbilisi Mall on the 19th of April. It aimed to
promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities and attracted 80
job seekers as well as 20 potential employers.

Amongst others, the event was
attended by

  • Lika Kiladze, Chairperson
    of the Board of the Education Development and Employment Center,
  • Tamila Barkalaia,
    Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories,
    Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia,
  • Levan Gogodze,
    Deputy Director of the Social Service Agency,
  • Mariam
    Bezarashvili, Head of Employment Programs Department of the Social Service
    Agency,
  • Aleksei
    Mescheriakov, General Manager of Tbilisi Mall.

It was already the second time
that Tbilisi Mall hosted the fair. Throughout the years several job fairs have
been organized in various regions and towns of the country to establish as a vivid a platform where people with disabilities and representatives of the private
sector are able to communicate in person.
