Round table about the integration of people with disabilities was held in Khobi

On the 19th of July, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) held a roundtable event in Khobi about the integration of people with disabilities. Here, their respective needs, problems, and challenges were discussed.

Natia Namicheishvili, Executive Director of the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), talked about the current project and the topics to discuss Jolina Kakia, Head of Social Service, Dodo Gabunia, Chairperson of the Education, Culture, and Social Issues Commission of Khobi Municipality, and Teona Julukhadze, the representative of ASB Georgia, greeted the participants and joined the discussion.

Sophio Kupatadze, coordinator of the daycare centers for people with disabilities at the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), various rehabilitation services, and the importance of a need-based budget for people with disabilities.

The discussion was held within the framework of the EU-funded project “Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities.” It is implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB Georgia) in cooperation with its partner organizations, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), and the Accessible Environment for Everyone.
