On January 29, the participants of the
Public Speaking and Debate Techniques School had meetings with Miss Gamkrelidze,
an ecologist on environmental protection issues, and Miss Saldadze, a lawyer on
electoral systems.

With associate professor Lali Gamkrelidze, the representative
of the Imereti Scientists’ Union “Spectri,” the juveniles discussed the
environmental impact of economic growth.

Darina Saldadze, representative of the
Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA) in Kutaisi, led a debate on the current
electoral system and examined aspects of the voting process.

Thanks to the guests’ expertise, the
participants could gather new insights that will help them to prepare for their
upcoming public speaking and debate tournament.
