In cooperation with the McLain Association
for Children in Georgia (MAC Georgia), the Education Development and Employment
Center (EDEC) ran an add-on training on ‘Special needs and practical
intervention’ at its daycare site in Samtredia.
Employees of EDEC’s Day Care Center “Lampari”
and teachers of the Samtredia Preschool Union participated in the session. The necessity for the latter was revealed during a round table meeting in the Samtredia
Municipality on support services for people with disabilities; another event organized
by EDEC within the frames of the EU-funded project “Equal Opportunities for
People with Disabilities.”
A follow-up training is planned for April.
