Leather backpacks, handbags, purses, brooches, bracelets,
earrings, necklaces – these are all products Irina Korshia is creating with a
unique style under her own brand IRDA.

“I learned about the entrepreneurship school from my friend.
When I took part, I had just started working on leather. EDEC has offered a full
package to develop as an entrepreneur: an educational program, a training cycle
in business planning and most important for entrepreneurial beginners an experienced
mentor. Levan Molashvili, co-founder of the company “Amazon Expert Hub” was
selected to be my mentor. He received his education in Germany, is a lecturer
and at the same time provides private consultations and sessions regarding
international, electronic trading. During our mentoring, he focused on the
right usage of opportunities. He shared the means of product development and
then the ways to bring them to the global market through various online giants such
as Amazon, eBay, and also Etsy, a platform for handmade items.”

The mentoring program for young entrepreneurs is part of the
EU-funded project “EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and
Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine.” The
initiative aims to widen education, employment, and entrepreneurial
opportunities for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth and
encourages their significant participation in the community. In Georgia, it is
implemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and the Education Development
and Employment Center (EDEC).
