Zhana Eshmakurashvili is a graduate of the Entrepreneurship School. She lives in Gori municipality, village Pkhvenisi.

She has a small sewing salon at home, where she sews different clothes for acquaintances and friends. At the same time, she works in one of the sewing workshops in Gori.

Zhana has her own business desires and plans and EDEC is helping her to implement them. One of them is related to the production of national clothes. Exactly for this purpose, three days’ masterclass in creating the national clothes was conducted by Rusudan Arjevandize. The coaching service of the young entrepreneur also included online and telephone consultations.

“I could study the main issues in a short period of time, my great desire is to use received knowledge in the implementation of my ideas, to obtain funding, and expand my family sewing salon. I am also supported by this, EDEC constantly responds to me and informs me about the possibility of obtaining funding, and at the same time helps me to refine my business idea and prepare an application.”

The Mentoring program of the young entrepreneurs is implemented within the framework of the project “EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine”.

The project aims to widen education, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth and encourages their significant participation in the community.

EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment, and Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine is implemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) in Georgia. The project is funded by the European Union.
