“MasterChef” winner Nutsa Surguladze met online with the participants of the dual education program for cooks

The theoretical part of the dual education program for cooks
in Zugdidi is not online a chance to acquire new skills online but also a great
opportunity to get in contact and learn from famous and successful
professionals in the field.

Nutsa Surguladze, winner of the popular TV show “MasterChef,”
shared some personal anecdotes and experiences with the participants of the course.
First following the footsteps of her career in France and Georgia, Nutsa spoke
later on about the obstacles and charms of a chef’s profession, the development
opportunities and the importance of having a goal.

“Such meetings are part of the theoretical training
program because it is important for the participants not only to learn the basic
skills of a cook but also to be able to present themselves,” said restaurateur
Iago Pasandze, head of the course.

The program will provide young people with appropriate
professional skills and knowledge to increase their career development and
employment opportunities.

The dual education program is part of the EU-funded project “EU4Youth –
Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and Participation in Conflict-affected
Areas in Georgia and Ukraine.” The initiative aims to widen education,
employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities for internally displaced persons
and conflict-affected youth and encourages their significant participation in
the community. In Georgia, it is implemented by the Danish Refugee Council
(DRC) and the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC).
