Online meeting series to strengthen and support parents of
children with disabilities successfully completed

For two months, parents had the opportunity to receive
practical advice and recommendations from specialists on the needs of their
children on topics such as routine planning, behavioral problems, speech
disorders, motor skill development, and others. A total of fifteen employees of
the day centers and ten parents took part in the meetings.

The event series was planned and implemented as part of the
cooperation between the Education Development and Employment Center and the I.
Tsitsishvili Children’s Psychological Service. The online meetings became
necessary due to the constantly changing living and learning environment caused
by COVID-19. Especially for parents of children with disabilities, it became particularly
difficult to cope with their children’s emotional state and to offer them activities
and exercises to ensure continuous development.

The Education Development and Employment Center would like
to thank I. Tsitsishvili Children’s Psychological Service and its specialists again
for their willingness to volunteer in this initiative.
