Due to the pandemic, educational activities planned within
the framework of the civic education program “Future Generation” moved
online.

Within the last weeks, various speakers well-known and
interesting to the public were meeting online with young, motivated and
interested people to give personal insights and professional advice. Psychologists,
politicians, actors, writers, artists, human rights defenders, lawyers,
doctors, journalists and other public figures discussed important topics such
as children’s rights, crime prevention, the role of volunteerism, literacy, cyberbullying.

The program “Future Generation” aims to improve
the curriculum of civic education in schools. It also encourages pupils to
apply their theoretical education. It is supported by the Ministry of Education
and Science of Georgia and financed by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID). In the Imereti region, the initiative is
implemented by PH International in partnership with the Education Development
and Employment Center (EDEC).
