Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) awarded the beneficiaries of Dual Vocational Education Programs with the certificates for successful program completion on July 17, 2020, in Zugdidi
Within the Dual Vocational Education Programs, short-term vocational training courses in welding, cooking and pharmacy were held for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth residing in Samegrelo region. In total, 33 people participated in the courses.
Training courses include both theoretical and practical parts. At present, beneficiaries of the programs are engaged in 3-month paid internship offered by various local partner companies.
Natia Namicheishvili, the Executive Director of Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and Nino Khokhobaia, the Head of Programs at Danish Refugee Council (DRC) awarded the program beneficiaries with certificates. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of partner educational institutions and employer companies, namely: Zugdidi Academy, Ltd. Kalakmshenservisi, Ltd. Mankanatmshenebeli, pharmacies – Medpharma, Pharmacy 2017 and Pharmacy 2018.
The program is implemented within the framework of the project “EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine”.
The project aims to widen education, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth and encourages their significant participation in the community.
