The 2–day meeting was held in Borjomi with the initiative of Caucasus Caregivers’ Cooperation Network (CCC Network) within the Project – Partnership for Inclusive Policy Making (PPSP). The meeting was organized by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and Charity Humanitarian Center Abkhazeti (CHCA).
The meeting aimed to form the structure and the charter of the Committee for the support of strengthening the services for the Persons with Disability.
The meeting was led by Lika Kiladze, the president of CCC Network.
Tamila Barkalaia, Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. Victoria Midelauri, the expert on disability issues, facilitated the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, and LEPL Agency for State Care and Assistance for the (Statutory) Victims of Human trafficking.
The view and mission of the Committee were discussed at the meeting. After determining the Charter of Committee, the attendants were divided into small thematic working groups. The meeting was summed up with the presentation of the results and the discussion.
The EU funded project – Partnership for Inclusive Policy Making (PPSP) is implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter- Bund (ASB) Georgia together with partner organizations: Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), and Charity Humanitarian Center Abkhazeti (CHCA).
