Within the Dual Vocational Education Programme, participants of short-term vocational training courses of a Travel Guide, a Tourist Driver, and a Driver-Guide have visited the tourist attractions of the Shida Kartli region.

16 young participants have visited Gori, the museum of Joseph Stalin, and Uplistsikhe – an ancient rock-hewn town.

Within the program, Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) is partnering with the Association of Elite Drivers (UGEC), which provides theoretical and practical learning. The program includes modules such as effective and high-quality client service, protocol-related issues, English and Russian language skills relevant to the field, providing first aid independently, preserving preventive measures against COVID-19.

Tours to the 6 most desired tourist destinations of Georgia are planned within the practical part of the course.

The program is implemented within the framework of the project “EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine”.

The project aims to widen education, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth and encourages their significant participation in the community.
