A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Youth Agency and the Education Development and Employment Center.

The aim of the cooperation is to promote the reform of the youth ecosystem. The memorandum envisages the creation and development of professional standards for the youth worker as a key player in the youth field. Collaboration also includes the development of vocational education programs and their promotion.

“The memorandum envisages development of a youth ecosystem with the direct participation and involvement of young people, where all young people will be able to realize their potential and actively participate in all aspects of public life. Such environment will help, in the long run, at the municipal, regional and national levels, to ensure the empowerment of young people and their active participation in the decision-making process, “- noted the Head of the Youth Agency Revaz Charkviani.

“The Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) has been implementing a number of projects to raise civic awareness among young people for more than ten years. Under the Memorandum of Understanding with the Youth Agency, we have committed ourselves to promote the introduction and development of the youth worker profession and, most importantly, to creating opportunities for the application of the youth worker profession. This cooperation will enable us to carry out activities with joint efforts and resources, which will increase the involvement of young people in the decision-making process,” – stated Lika Kiladze, the Chairperson of the Board of EDEC.
