A seminar on human rights was held at Kutaisi Youth Center

Giorgi Mshvenieradze, a lecturer from Free University, held a seminar on human rights at Kutaisi Youth Center. 


The seminar covered several topics surrounding the existing challenges which hinder the protection of human rights in our country. Perspectives for our future and role of state in the process were also discussed during the seminar. Participants talked about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the local experience of its enforcement.


The seminar was held in cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) within the framework of the program “Promoting Integration Tolerance and Awareness” (PITA), implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The program partner is the Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center (KEDEC).
