Advocacy training was conducted for pupils of Imereti schools

A training on advocacy and civil rights was conducted for the pupils of 30 schools in the Imereti Region. The training was organized in the framework of the program “Future Generation”.

The training aimed to empower pupils being involved in the process of decision making when it comes to public policy. The main goal of the training was to develop the essential skills needed for activism.

Participants became familiar with how advocacy campaigns are planned. In particular how to identify the problem and its reasons, how this problem affects beneficiaries and how to deal with them.

The format of the training was interactive. The participants were divided into groups and planned advocacy campaigns for the urgent issues of their communities.

The program “Future Generation” is implemented by PH International with financial assistance from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The program is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
