An information meeting of peers was held in the Shavshve IDP settlement

The peer educator Nini Otinashvili held training on domestic violence in the Shavshve IDP settlement within the framework of the project “Protecting IDP Rights during the COVID-19 Crisis in Georgia”.

On May 24, the meeting focused on the issues such as the prevention and response to domestic violence, key factors, and statistics from recent years. Thematic videos were presented at the meeting. The peer educator also shared information about how to use the 112 mobile apps. On May 25, the meeting was dedicated to peacebuilding issues.

Тhe project is implemented by EDEC in partnership with UNDP.

The project aims to support IDPs and conflict-affected youth to get involved in solving the challenges and problems created in their communities as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
