After competition of the digital marketing
course, all 14 participants with mobility impairment were awarded certificates
by Nino Tvaltvadze, Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi Municipality, and the Executive Director
of the Education Development and Employment Center. The three-months training
was conducted as part of the project “Meet the demands of time, receive
education and be employed.”
So far, eight out of the 14 beneficiaries could
already use the newly gained knowledge for developing their own business ideas
and leaving the old, unloved job.
The Education Development and Employment
Center implemented the project with the financial support of the Kutaisi
Municipality City Hall. It aims to help people with disabilities to guarantee a
livelihood, to improve their chances for (self-)employment, and to open up new
opportunities for income generation by teaching highly demanded digital
marketing and web technology skills.
