Civil Club members of the program “Future
Generation” met Simon Chkhaidze, a lifetime judge at the Tbilisi Civil Court of The appeal, who was glad to talk about his profession and career experience.

In the beginning, the students were introduced
to currently important and interesting legal issues as well as the human
rights, the profession of the judge, the specifics of the court system, legal
mechanisms to prevent cyberbullying, and the employment situation of young
judges.

Afterward, a photo exhibition on activities
carried out by students paying attention to informational campaigns on human
rights protection, early marriage, and prevention of bullying at school allowed
the participants to reflect on the day.

The program “Future Generation” aims
to improve the curriculum of civic education in schools. It also encourages
pupils to apply their theoretical education in real-life situations. It is
supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and financed by
the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In the Imereti
region, the initiative is implemented by PH International in partnership with
the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC).
