On March 27, 2017, a daycare center for children and persons with disabilities was opened in Saguramo village of Mtskheta municipality. The daycare center will be managed by the Education Development and Employment Center. The daycare center was built and equipped according to modern standards with the support of the Embassy of Japan, Liberty Bank, and McClain Association.
The daycare center is available for adults and children under 18 years of age. It offers various services including two daily meals, transportation, consultations with psychologists and occupational therapists, participation in cultural and sports-rehabilitation events, and outpatient medical services if required.
The opening ceremony was attended by Toshio Kaitani- the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Zaza Sopromadze- General Director of Social Services Agency, Alexi Khoroshvili- Director of Liberty Bank and Gocha Zeikidze – Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region.
The head of the Education Development and Employment Center, Lia Kiladze, on behalf of the organization, presented awards to the Embassy of Japan, Liberty Bank, and McLain Association for their contribution to the opening of the daycare center.
