Due to COVID-19: Theoretical part of the educational program for cooks in Gori is going online

Due to the current circumstances caused by
the novel Coronavirus, the theoretical part of the dual education program for
cooks in Gori has been moved online. The practical part as well as the paid
internship will start after stabilization of the situation.

In total, participants of the course will enjoy
300 hours of theoretical and practical training. The program will give young
people relevant professional skills and knowledge to increase their employability
and career options.

The cooks’ program is implemented as part of the
EU-funded project “EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and
Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine.” The
initiative aims to widen education, employment, and entrepreneurial
opportunities for internally displaced persons and conflict-affected youth and
encourages their significant participation in the community. In Georgia, it is
implemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and the Education Development
and Employment Center (EDEC).
