Elisabeth Goshkhetiliani, a student in the 11th grade at I. Gogebashvili first author’s school in Kutaisi is the first graduate to complete the online course “All about volunteering” offered by the e-learning platform created by EDEC (elearning.edec.ge).

“Volunteering is an opportunity to use my time and skills to help others selflessly, without compensation. Giving a small amount of my time can improve the lives of people in need. In addition to helping others, volunteering allows me to gain valuable experience and knowledge. Along with my studies, I am an active member of the “Spread the Warmth Kutaisi” organization. With my teammates, I participate in volunteer activities such as events to help the beneficiaries of the Kutaisi orphanage and the nursing home. Caring for others is the main value of the volunteering tradition.

Since volunteering is one of my main activities, I am constantly looking for ways to learn more about this activity so that I can do something useful for the community. When I heard about the online platform elearning.edec.ge, I was interested and filled out the application. It was an opportunity to listen to lectures at any time and place. The course showed me volunteer work from another angle. I believe this teaching method is suitable for individuals who wish to learn from anywhere in the world and apply their knowledge in practical situations.”
