On October 28, a group of French vocational education experts visited EDEC and met with the representatives of the organization in Kutaisi.
The group of experts is involved in the West Georgian – French Woodcraft Training (Wood-ING) project implemented within the project “Economic Participation, Housing and Social Infrastructure for IDPs and Host Communities” with the financial support of the German Development Bank (KfW).
The visit aimed to share experience, impressions, and ideas between Georgian and French experts in vocational education in order to improve the quality of the vocational education system in the wood crafting industry.
During the meeting, the representatives of EDEC informed the guests about the implemented and ongoing vocational education projects, discussed the activities carried out by the organization in regards to adopting and developing dual education methodology, and provided information about the entrepreneurs who developed their businesses in wood crafting with the support of EDEC. At the end of the meeting, a discussion about the challenges and opportunities in the vocational education sector was held.
