Lia Korinteli, a 23-year-old primary education teacher, is one of those who completed the Dual Vocational Education Program for kindergarten teachers in Gori.
Lia loves kids and it easy for her to communicate with them. She learned about the program from a friend and immediately decided not to miss this opportunity. After passing an interview, she enrolled in a kindergarten teachers’ training course, completed the theoretical modules, and started an internship within the program. At present, Lia continues her internship remotely. She delivers online lessons for children.
“Every child is different and needs an individual approach, which is very interesting and enjoyable for me. Understanding and learning their different characteristics make relationships easier. Everyone is very lovely and special, which makes my job more interesting.”
Lia also attended practical training during her Bachelor studies, which was very important for her professional development. The short-term training program provided an opportunity to further improve her professional and practical skills.
Dual Vocational Education Program for Kindergarten Teachers is implemented by Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) within the EU-funded project “EU4Youth – Enhancing Youth Education, Employment and Participation in Conflict-affected Areas in Georgia and Ukraine”.
