On the 25th of November, members of the Kutaisi Youth Center held a rally and celebrated International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The rally aimed to draw public attention on gender-motivated crimes and femicide. Attendees expressed their solidarity to the female victims of domestic violence and tried to provide a platform for the most oppressed women in society. Civics Clubs from schools also joined the event.
The event was organized within the framework of the Promoting Integration, Tolerance, and Awareness (PITA) Program, implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The program partner is the Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Center (KEDEC).
