On April 12 and 13, 2023, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) held online meetings on the topic: “The Importance of Digital Volunteering” the purpose of which was to introduce the first volunteering digital platform in Georgia, www.volunteer.ge, people involved in volunteering activities, and to discuss the needs of digital volunteering and the meaning of volunteering.

Meetings were attended by volunteers/volunteer group/organization members, whose successful volunteering stories are shared on Volunteer’s social channels. Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about the goals, usage, and registration rules of the digital volunteering platform www.volunteer.ge.

The meetings were held within the framework of the European Union (EU) and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) funded project “Civil Society STAR Initiative: Sustainable, Transparent and Accountable Civil society Organizations (CSOs) for the Development of Georgia” (2021-2025).
