Online presentation-“Public Administration Reform (PAR) Monitoring in Western Georgia”

On October 8, within the project “Public Administration Reform (PAR) Monitoring in Western Georgia”, Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) held an online presentation of the study carried out in Kharagauli municipality. The presentation was attended by the representatives of the Mayor and City Hall of Kharagauli Municipality.

The study implied researching the degree of efficiency, transparency, and inclusiveness of the local self-government. It aims to study the efficient implementation of PAR Roadmap by the Common Forum CSOs from Guria, Imereti, and Racha-Lechkhumi.

According to the mechanism established by the Fund “Sukhumi”, monitoring implied revision of information platforms (webpage, Facebook page) and normative acts, also meetings with responsible people.

Study results show that Kharagauli municipality representatives, both from the City Council and City Hall are open to the discussion of the results and considering the recommendations. It is also noteworthy that there is a number of needs requiring change planning and implementation on the local level.

The project “Public Administration Reform (PAR) Monitoring in Western Georgia” is funded by the European Union. The project is initiated by Cultural-Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi”.
