Online training for the representatives of civil society organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs)

Within the project, Civil Society Development Initiative (CSDI), Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) organized online training for the representatives of civil society organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) on August 4, 5, 11, 12,13, and 15. Volunteer management issues at CSOs and CBOs were the topic of the training.

The training aimed at supporting the CSOs and CBOs in selecting the volunteers, engaging the volunteers in the organizational activities, evaluating their performance, and developing mentoring and monitoring skills.

The training was led by Pavle Tvaliashvili, the international trainer. In total 40 organization representatives attended the training.

The topics of the training are volunteering on international, national, and local levels; spontaneous and structured volunteering; recruiting volunteering by an organization; selecting volunteers; job description; engaging volunteers in organizational activities (office and community activities); mentoring and monitoring; evaluating a volunteer’s performance; awarding a volunteer; volunteers’ network for sustainable development goals; volunteering and crucial competencies; volunteering regulation in Georgia.

“Georgian Civil Society Sustainability Initiative” is implemented by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with four Georgian civil society organizations Civil Society Institute (CSI), Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC), Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG), and Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC). The project is funded by the European Union, co-funded by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS).
