Presentation of the document “Volunteer activities in Georgia and Europe: a comparative analysis”

On October 30, 2023, in Tbilisi, the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) held a presentation of the document “Volunteering in Georgia and Europe: Comparative Analysis” in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth of Georgia Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth – Youth Agency. The document was developed by an independent expert – Marika Mkheidze, within the framework of the fourth goal, task 4.2, of the state’s youth strategy, 2023 action plan, which aims to promote volunteer activities. The aim of the initiative is to create a civil platform for structured dialogue in the field of youth volunteering. This type of informal platform may become a regular information exchange mechanism in the future. What will help the field to become more coordinated, to increase the cooperation of the public, civil and private sectors in the field of youth volunteering. Civil society organizations working on volunteering issues and representatives of the state agency attended the meeting.

The project is implemented by the Consortium led by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and composed of the following CSOs: Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG), Civil Society Institute (CSI), Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC), Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), and Institute for European Politics (IEP).
