The organization is constantly running awareness-raising events
and on-going training for employees to ensure the protection of children’s rights
and to act in the best interests of the beneficiaries.

On May 27, EDEC organized a meeting with Ketevan Sokhadze, the representative
of the Public Defender’s Office, representative of the Children’s Protection Department, and Giorgi
Talakhadze, regional representative of the Public Defenders in
Mtskheta-Mtianeti, for the specialists of the daycare service centers for
children and people with disabilities.

The speakers talked about the mandate of the Public Defender’s
Office and the recommended procedures in case of child abuse.
