Participants of the ‘Public Speeches and Debates
Technique’ training course held a mock trial at the Kutaisi Court of Appeals.
The pupils became familiar with the setup at court and imitated the roles of a
defendant and a prosecutor.

 Lizi Kopaladze, student at Kutaisi Public
School №19, was chosen by her peers as best participant in the mock trial based
on the following three qualities: arguing conclusively, critical thinking and
working fact-oriented.

At the end of the trial, the all 14 participants
from different public schools of Kutaisi were awarded certificates. The 4-month
training course on public speeches and debate techniques was implemented within
the educational programs of the Education Development and Employment Center
(EDEC).
